Valentine’s Day is approaching and Urban Outfitters have used this to their advantage.
They asked people to tweet nice love things with the hashtag #UOLOVEFEST and they wrote them out on a chalkboard and displayed them on their wall of love and some appeared on their blog too.
People on Twitter are always wanting to get noticed, whether that’s in the form of a mention from a celebrity, retweets from followers or having their username displayed on a website. There is usually a lot of competition to get more followers, because more followers on Twitter means popularity, online acceptance and more influence.
Sending a tweet is so simple too, I can imagine Urban Outfitters will get a lot of responses.
